He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:15 & 16, NKJV)
This question of Jesus, made to the disciples just prior to Jesus’ crucifixion, is one of the most profound, thought provoking and important questions put forth in the Bible. “Who do you say that I am?” This question is the question every individual who ever lived, lives or will live, will have answer. “Who do you say that I am?”
1. What say you? Who do you say that Jesus is?
2. Who is Jesus to you?
3. Not just who but what has Jesus been to you? What has He proven Himself to be to you, for you and in your life?
Sooner or later, now or in the future, you are going to have to give an answer to this question. Can you declare like Peter, “You are the Christ, the son of the living God?” Is He your savior, your redeemer, your deliverer? What is your answer to the question, WHO IS HE TO YOU?
