The prophetic word of God, through the prophet Isaiah, foretold of the greatest gift that would ever be given, the gift of a Savior, a Lord and a King.
Over twenty-seven hundred years after the prophetic word was first announced and over two thousand years since that birth took place, believers all around the world celebrate this great gift given "unto us," Jesus, the Son of God.
During this holiday season, as we spend time enjoying family, friends, and for some, football. As we dine on wonderful meals and partake of delicious desserts. As we rejoice in the blessing of giving and receiving of gifts, let us remember the greatest gift given, "unto us"!!!
1. Have you ever really thought about the fact that God gave His son just for you?
2. Have you thought about and thanked Jesus because He gave His life for you?
3. When you talk about Christmas to others do you tell them this season is about a savior that was given for us?
Give thanks for Jesus today. Celebrate His victory won for you. Rejoice in your salvation secured because of His birth, life, death and resurrection. Remember, God loves you so much that He gave His Son. The Son loves you so much that He gave His life. This blessing was given, not for the angels and the heavenly host, but rather, Jesus was the gift given, UNTO US!
