“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 13-14, NKJV)
PONDER THIS
Again in these verses we see Jesus is speaking to the woman He met at the well. He ask her for water and she responds belligerently to His request because of the bigotry and prejudice the Jews felt toward the Samaritans. Jesus response by telling her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (John 4:10). Jesus goes on to tell her the water that He has to give would be a “fountain of water springing up in to everlasting life.” Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of life that gives eternal and abundant life.
Jesus says the water He has to give would be a “fountain of water springing up.” The question for you today is, WHAT’S SPRINGING UP IN YOU?
1. Do you have life, real life springing up in you or are you just existing?
2. When you are faced with problems and trouble do you have compliant and negativity springing up or faith and positive affirmations?
3. When someone provokes you, upsets you, angers you do you have wrath, cursing and lashing out springing up in you, or love, compassion and forgiveness.
4. What are the thoughts, emotions and actions that continuously arise in and from your life?
