Walking In Peace

“and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”

(Ephesian 6:15, NKJV)

We all know the verses of scripture that tell us to put on the “whole armor of God.”

One of the elements of the soldier’s attire is having proper footwear. In this case,

Paul tells us we must have our feet covered with the gospel of peace.

What is Paul saying? He is telling us that we must walk the walk of peace. The

gospel of Jesus is the message that God comes to give us peace. Deliverance

brings peace. Salvation brings peace. God sent Jesus into the world that the world

would have peace through Him. Those who walk with and in Jesus are those who

walk or live their lives in peace. We must be those who walk in peace.

Have you ever met anybody who, wherever they went they left the place in a mess.

These are people who always have a complaint, problem or issue. They bicker, are

negative and always find fault in others. These are people who do not walk in

peace. Those who walk in peace are encouragers. They empower and inspire

others. They assist rather than tear down. These are the persons who have their

feet “shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.” These are persons who are

WALKING IN PEACE.
