THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

Psalm 27 is one of my favorite Psalms. David in this Psalm writes to the reader to let us know, both, who God is to him and to encourage himself. This the first verse always encourages me, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear. The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?"

When you think about it, worry, anxiety, panic attacks, nervousness, stage fright and low self-esteem are all the result of fear. Fear can cripple you and stop you from moving forward into your destiny. David reminds himself and us that we do not have to be crippled by fear. When the Lord is the strength of your life, of whom or what do you have to be afraid? The answer, “no one and nothing.”

1. Do you believe it? Do you believe and know that the Lord is the strength of your life?

2. Do you encourage yourself in times of tempting and doubt that the Lord is your strength?

3. Do you have any struggles right now that seem insurmountable? Did you speak over that situation that the Lord is the strength of your life and you will not be afraid?

I encourage you today to remind yourself that the Lord is the strength of your life. You do not have to fear anything or anybody. When you know that God is the strength of your life, you can enter the surgery room in peace, knowing all will be well. You can appear before the interviewers for your job interview, knowing you can do whatever the job requires. You can handle any trouble, issue or concern that comes along, knowing you will come out victorious. Declare it today. Boldly testify before all, “THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE!”
