PONDER THIS!
Have you ever smelled someone's cologne or perfume and, whether the scent was good or bad, that aroma stayed with you and reminded you of that person the rest of the day? That is what we who are Christ-like are to the world and the saints. We are the fragrance of Christ.
Some will love us because we remind them of the love, mercy and compassion of Christ. Yet, others will despise us because we are a reminder of the impending judgment that awaits all those who reject Christ. The holiness of Christ in you is an offensive indictment to all those who are living unholy lives. Both saved and unsaved.
1. Does your life emit the fragrance of a loving Savior?
2. Can others smell the sweet aroma of Jesus on you because you have spent so much time with Him that He has left His fragrance on you?
3. When people leave your presence can they for the rest of the day “smell” the sweet aroma of what you have left on their lives?
Hold your head up and keep living like Jesus. Continue to let the world be affected by your very presence. For you are, THE FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST!
