SOW PEACE, REAP A HARVEST

“Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” (James 3:18, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

This is a very powerful verse. I love how the New Living Translation puts it, “And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” James tells us that when we “pursue peace” and are “peacemakers” we are actually sowing seeds and we can expect a harvest of righteousness in other areas of our lives.

1. Do you know that every time you are faced with a hostile person and tempted to act in a non-peaceful way, yet respond peacefully, you have just sown seeds for your future.

2. Are you sowing seeds of peace and peacefulness?

3. What harvest will you produce from the seeds you have sown?

4. Peacemakers should rejoice in knowing that a harvest of blessings is coming for them.

Do not miss your harvest. Do not allow other individuals or situations to cause you to miss your blessings. Be a peacemaker. Pursue peace with all people, in every situation. Remember these words of James from the New Living Translation, “And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.” SOW PEACE, REAP A HARVEST!
