RELY ON HIS STRENGTH

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; . . ."(Psalm 28:7, NKJV)

PONDER THIS

The Psalmist, David, in this verse reminds himself of where his strength comes from. He prays and acknowledges that he is relying on God to be his strength and shield of protection.

We must do the same. We must remember that God is our strength and our shield of protection. We must rely on Him to give us the strength we need to overcome and conquer every struggle we may face. As David prayed and declared, we also must pray and declare. Prayer is an acknowledgement that we do not know it all and we cannot live this life without God. Therefore, we must declare in prayer and confess that we need Him to be our strength and shield.

1. Have you ever been in a situation where the Lord showed His strength and protection?

2. Can you and do you declare like David that the Lord is your strength and shield because He has proven to be so in the past?

3. Because God has been your strength and shield do you have faith and assurance that you will and can overcome every obstacle and opposition?

Do not attempt to live this life in your own strength. None of us has enough strength or knowledge to make it in this life without God. The good news is that we do not have to try to make it on our own. Know that God will be your strength and your shield. All you have to do is just RELY ON HIS STRENGTH!
