PONDER THIS!
We live in a very selfish, self-centered society. There is an ideology held by many that, if not stated publicly, it is implied socially. That ideology is simply, “Every man/woman for him/herself.”
Perhaps this is the reason the divorce rate is so high, gangs terrorize our communities, families are falling apart and even our religious institutions are so powerless. Too many of us have adopted the ideology of “Look out for number one.”
Yet, the Word of God teaches us that we must put others above ourselves. We are to seek the welfare of others before our own. We are to encourage, edify and help to establish others. We are called to serve, minister to and be a blessing to others.
1. Who are you lifting today?
2. If you are reading this early in the day, make it a point to encourage, strengthen, empower and assist someone else today!
3. Make it your aim and mission for today and every day that when you lay down at night to sleep, you can look back on the day and identify at least one person that you blessed in the day.
Let us always remember and never forget our life mission is to LIFT SOMEONE ELSE UP!
