Let it Pass

“A fool vents all his feelings, But a wise man holds them back.” (Proverbs 29:11, NKJV)

You know, knowledge is knowing, “what” to do. But wisdom is knowing “how, when, where and why” to do a thing. My daily prayer is that God would give me divine wisdom so that I might know, how, when, where and why to do the, “what” I know to do.

Solomon, in this verse, gives us wisdom from God, letting us know that there are some things we just have to “LET PASS.”

You know, there will always be some thing or some one in your life, who, it seems their sole purpose of existence is to, “get on your last nerve.” The enemy will make sure there will always be some thing or some one tempting you to “go off”, “get them told”, “give them a piece of your mind”, or just plain, “snap.” Come on, you can admit it, there is something going on in your life right now, that, if you think about it too long, you will get frustrated and angry, and you will be tempted to, “go off.” Sometimes even the persons we love get us to that point. Yet, Solomon would have us know that it is foolish to vent all our feelings. Wisdom teaches us that some things and some people are just not worth our letting it, or them, move us to responding.

Let us heed the wisdom of Solomon in this verse. Do not be lured into reacting to every adverse situation that comes your way. Live the life of the wise. Remember, some things are just not worth responding to. Just LET IT PASS.
