HOLD ON TO THE PROMISE

"So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord

through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a

Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with

us.”"(MATTHEW 1:22-23 NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

These verses are referenced from the angels encouragement to Joseph to not be

afraid to take Mary as his wife when she is found with child. The angel assures

Joseph, "that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit," and this conception

and eventual birth is the fulfillment of the prophetic promise of God. Joseph, as

we know, consented and when the Savior was born he named the baby, "Jesus," as the angel instructed him.

But notice the statement by Matthew the author, "all this was done that it might be

fulfilled . . ." This statement implies for us two things, TIME and ACTIVITY:

First, "all this was done," ACTIVITY. Next, "that it might be fulfilled," TIME.

God does everything at the right TIME and when people, places and things are

aligned, ACTIVITY.

1. Has God made you any promises that have not been fulfilled?

2. Are you believing God for something He promised in His Word?

3. Are you waiting on your healing, deliverance, direction, promotion or such?

4. Are you doing what you should be doing (ACTIVITY) while you are waiting

on the promise?

If all or any of these questions are you, then here is God's word to you, “HOLD

ON TO THE PROMISE.” Do all you are supposed to do and wait on God's

timing. When your activity and God's timing are aligned, the promise will be

fulfilled and what you have been waiting for will be yours. Just HOLD ON TO

THE PROMISE!
