“Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” The woman said to Him, “Sir, give me this water, that I may not thirst, nor come here to draw.”” (John 4:13-15, NKJV)

These words spoken by Jesus to the woman at the well led to a transformation in the woman’s life. Jesus inform her that the water she came to get, though necessary for her physical survival, still left her bruised, used and ashamed. But the water that He would give her would be a fountain of water “in” her that would “springing up” giving her life. After stating what Jesus was willing to give her, she does something that every one of us should do. She asks for it. “Sir, give me this water, . . .”

Now we know the water that Jesus was referring to is the Holy Spirit of God that “springs up” in us giving us joy, the peace of God, power, purpose and strength. The question for you today is this, HAVE YOU ASKED FOR IT?

1. Have you asked for the Holy Spirit of God to work inside you like a fountain spring up?

2. Have you asked for divine life to flow in and through you?

3. Have you asked God to spring up in and out of you transforming your life?

4. Have you asked for the peace, power, prosperity, purpose and strength of God to spring up in you?

Yes, I have! Jesus said,"How much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him." I am a spirit-filled Christian! He is my comforter, keeper and guide! Spending time with God daily and being filled with the Holy Spirit keep me grounded!

Thank you for those points to ponder!
