FORGIVE AND BE RELEASED

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.(Matthew 6:14&15, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

In this passage Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. He tells us we ought to include in our prayers the petition for God to forgive us as we have forgiven those who have hurt or offended us.

Forgiveness is not an easy thing for many of us. Things done to us and against us in the past are not easy to get over. Many times, we want to see those who have offended or hurt us hurting as well. But Jesus teaches us that this kind of attitude hinders the flow of our own blessings. God actually holds our blessings until we surrender and demonstrate the kind of love, He has for us. Love forgives and does not hold grudges.

1. Are you holding a grudge or some sort of unforgiving thought and feelings toward someone?

2. Have you truly forgiven everyone who has hurt or disappointed you in the past?

3. Do you know that forgiveness is more for you and your release than it is for the one who is being forgiven?

4. Could it be that the reason why you are not progressing in life is because you haven’t released yourself from the hurt of your past.

Now is the time for you to prosper, thrive, live the life you were born to live. In order to do so you must FORGIVE AND BE RELEASED!
