“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; . . .” (John 14:27, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!
As a pastor and leader, there are a few common questions that I am asked on a regular basis. Some of these questions are, “How will I know if I am doing the right thing?” “How do I know if this is the right person for me?” “How do I know if this is the right move to make at this time?” These and similar, “How do I . . .?” and “How will I . . . ?” questions are commonly asked by many. Invariably, my answer to each of these and similar questions is always the same, “I cannot tell you what is the right thing to do, but I can tell you how you can know if it is the wrong thing to do. Whatever does not give you inner peace, is not God. The answer is found in your peace.”
Jesus, before He offered His life as a sacrifice for the world, told the disciples He would leave them one of the most valuable things in the world, “Peace.” “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you . . .” This peace is an inner assurance and comfort that lets you know you are safe in the arms and care of God. It is God’s assurance that you are in the right place, doing the right thing. When you do not have peace, that is God’s way of letting you know you are on the wrong road and to change course.
1. Do you have peace in your heart with the way you are living?
2. Do you have peace with the decisions you have made recently or are having to make with now?
3. Do you have peace in the relationships you have?
The sure sign that God is in it with you is you have peace. If there is no peace, there is no God. Make sure you do not settle for what may look good, feel good or seem good naturally. Always remember, do not follow your feelings, others opinions or your senses. FOLLOW THE PEACE!
