“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6, NKJV)
PONDER THIS!
Chapter eleven of Hebrews tells us something of the lives of those who many people call the “heroes of faith.” The list of persons mentioned in this chapter all exhibited strong faith in God and are noted for their faith and faithfulness, even in the most difficult of times. Verse six of this chapter breaks from speaking about what an individual might have done and tells us what each of us are required to do if we want to please God. “Without faith it is impossible to please Him . . .”
1. Do you want to please God? If so, do you have faith?
2. Hebrews eleven six informs us, in essence, all of our good words and works, all of our praise and worship, fall far short of pleasing God if we do not have faith.
3. If your true desire is to please God, hold on to your faith no matter what the situation.
4. Faith says, “No matter what happens I believe God is able, God can and God will.” Do you believe that?
5. Hebrews 11 lets us know that God rewards those who are faithful in maintaining their faith.
If you truly want to get God’s attention, if you truly want to excite God, know that your FAITH PLEASES GOD!
