"No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." (II Timothy 2:4, NKJV)
PONDER THIS!
Paul in this verse writes to Timothy to remind him to stay focused and not be distracted by things that do not aid him in his life's ministry and mission. Paul warns Timothy that there are so many things in this world, for both young and old alike, to get into, that can distract and even hinder one from reaching their destiny.
I want to encourage you today as Paul encouraged Timothy. Stay focused. It is very easy to get involved with both things and people who do not help you in any way to reach your God given destiny. You will encounter many things and many people whose soul purpose in your life is to keep you distracted from reaching your goals. Anything, be it an activity, a person or any thing, if it does not aid you in achieving what God has for you, ignore it and move on. It is simply there to get you off track and concerned about things that do not matter.
1. You know, often times, toxic people will try to draw you into their “mess” and get your off the course of your destiny.
2. There are some people who thrive on confusion, arguments and disruption. Do not allow yourself to be drawn into that “mess.”
3. You are responsible for fulfilling your God given assignment. You must stay focused on your purpose, assignment and reach your destiny.
Do not allow yourself to be distracted, halted or hindered. Today, declare to yourself that you will stay focused on your purpose. Speak it over your life that you will not be stopped. Today, and from this day forward, reach for your goals, pursue your God given dreams, and DON'T GET ENTANGLED IN THE MESS!
