"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20, 2014)
PONDER THIS!
Some time ago, a good minister friend was to come to my home to visit at a particular time of the day. I was expecting him to come by. We had already agreed upon the day for his visit. I actually waited in the house all that day for his arrival. Night came and I received a phone call from him saying that he had come by, but I was not home. I assured him I was home and had been all day. He said he came to my front door and pushed the door bell a number of times and waited a good while for me to come to the door. Again, I informed him I was home and the doorbell never rang. After we conversed awhile and our conversation ended, I thought I'd better check the doorbell. Sure enough when pushed, there was no chime from within. After further investigation, I found that there was one loose wire that had lost connection, thereby preventing the chime to sound. My friend had been waiting outside and eventually left without our fellowship because I did not hear the sound of his presence at the door.
The Bible tells us that Jesus too, is standing at the "door" of each of our hearts and He too is knocking. Yet, like my friend and I, how many of us miss our fellowship with Him because we have lost connection or we are so distracted with other activities until we cannot hear Him knocking?
1. Are you sure your connection with God is intact.?
2. Do you have regular, daily, visits with the Lord?
3. If God were calling you right now (and He is) would you hear His call, knock or ring, or are you too distracted to hear Him?
Jesus is still knocking. He wants to come in and fellowship with you today. Don’t miss His call. His knock. His appearance. Do not allow the distractions of life to cause you to miss the opportunity to connect with the Savior. Jesus is standing at your door right now. CAN YOU HEAR HIM KNOCKING?
