“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” (Matthew 5:9, NKJV)
PONDER THIS!
My brothers and sisters, our God is a God of peace and orderliness. One of the last things Jesus told His disciples before His crucifixion is, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you . . .” (John 14:27). God is a God of peace and order.
In this verse of Matthew 5:9, Jesus lets us know that you can identify the children of God because they are just like their father, peacemakers.
1, The children of God are those who bring peace and are peaceful.
2. The children of God are those who pursue peaceful settlements of disputes and arguments.
3. The children of God are not those who are quick tempered or have a hostile demeanor. Children of God are not complainers or troublemakers. They are peacemakers.
As the enemy tries to get at you today to insight you to violence, be it physical, verbal or emotional, remember the promise of Jesus. It is the peacemakers who are and will be blessed. Do not be tempted to through away your blessing. Encourage yourself in the word by reminding yourself, “BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!”
