BE LOOSED AND BE FREE

“And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’” (LUKE 19:29-31)

POINTS TO PONDER!

Jesus, in this scripture, sends two of His disciples into town to get a particular donkey that He will eventually use to ride into Jerusalem just days before his crucifixion. He tells the disciples that they are not to get just any donkey. Rather, they are to find the one that is tied up. They are to loose that donkey and bring it to Jesus. The donkey can be used by him, but not until it is loosed from what it is tied to.

1. Are you like this donkey? Are you tied to something that prohibits your being used by God?

2. Are there things in my life that you need to be “loosed” from in order to live out your full potential?

3. What are you tied to that is holding me back, holding you down or hindering your progress?

4. Are there people, bad habits, attitudes or mindsets that you are tied to that you should be loosed from so you can live the abundant life that Jesus has promised you?

Whatever you might be tied to that is not of God and in God’s will for your life, it’s time to BE LOOSED AND BE FREE!
