“The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.” (Psalm 126:3, NKJV)
PONDER THIS!
You know, it is very easy to get caught up in all the things that are going wrong in your life. We tend to focus most of our mental attention on the things we want, do not have, think we need, and what is going wrong. In doing so, we forget all the things we have and what is going right in our lives. We forget all the previous needs that have been met by God and all the things He has already fixed for us.
The Psalmist in this verse reminds us that in spite of what we may want or need, “The Lord has (already) done great things for us, “ and we should be “glad.”
1. Do you tend to spend a lot of your mental time worrying about what “might” happen?
2. Are you one who counts more problems than your blessings?
3. Are your prayers to God mostly filled with request for what you want rather than thanks for what you have?
God has already blessed us. He has already made a way for us. In spite of what we want or think we need, each one of us is already blessed. Say it with me, “I AM BLESSED.” Declare it in the face of your problems, “I AM BLESSED.”
Today do not let your mind go to what is going wrong in your life. Think of all your blessings. Focus on the favor of God in your life. Concentrate on how God brought you through what you came through. Think of His goodness to you and BE GLAD!
