A REASON AND A RIGHT TO PRAISE THE LORD

“Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; Sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant. For I know that the Lord is great . . .” (Psalm 135:3&5, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

Psalm 135 is a Psalm of praise. The Psalmist begins this song with the words, “Praise the Lord” and ends the Psalm with the words, “Praise the Lord.” In the midst of the Psalm, the Psalmist gives various reasons why we should praise the Lord. One, because of who God is; two, because He is the creator of all things; and three, because of what He does and has done for His people.

1. Have you taken some time today to just praise the Lord?

2. In spite of what you have, don’t have or are going through have you taken time out to praise Him simply because of who He is?

3. Have you thanked and praise Him for the protection, provision and peace He has given you?

In all of who God is and what God has done for us, we cannot let anything or anybody keep us from giving God the glory and honor He rightly deserves. Do not allow your problems to rob you of your praise. Do not let man keep you from giving God the praise. You cannot stop praising Him and you should not stop praising Him. When you get right down to it, you have both A REASON AND A RIGHT TO PRAISE THE LORD!
