WHAT’S BEING PICKED FROM ME

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit . . .(John 15:5, NKJV)

PONDER THIS!

Jesus, in this statement, lets us know that those who are in Him, or who “abide” in Him, will bear or produce “much fruit.”

Now, I have stated it often, fruit is never born for the consumption of the tree that bears it. Fruit is produced for the pleasure and benefit of others. You have never seen an apple tree eating apples. Grape vines do not feast on grapes. Animals and humans consume apples and grapes. The same is true of fruit produced by those who “abide” in Christ. As Christians, we should bear fruit that others can be blessed by.

1.What fruit does your life bear?

2. There are trees that bear good fruit and trees that bear bad fruit. There are vines that produce nourishing fruit and vines that produce poisonous fruit. If someone inspected your life would they find you to bear good, nourishing fruit or bad poisonous fruit?

3. People should be able to pick fruit from our lives that will make their day and their lives both pleasant and bearable. Yet, too often too many do not bear fruit that blesses. Too often too many bear a rotten, poisonous crop that only sickens and even kills the hopes and dreams of many.

4. Today do some personal fruit inspection and ask yourself this question, WHAT’S BEING PICKED FROM ME!
