“that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, . . .” (Philippians 3:10, NKJV)
PONDER THIS!
Paul makes this declaration in this letter to the Philippians. He lets them and us know that his desire, his passion is to get to “know” Him. This word “know” expresses a desire for intimacy with Jesus. Paul is saying, “I want to have a deeper level of intimacy with Him.” “I want to be closer to Him.” I pray the desire of Paul is the desire we all have for Jesus. That we might “know” Him. That we might have an intimate, personal relationship with Him.
1. Do you have a true desire to “know” Jesus? Not just to know about Him, but to really know him intimately for yourself?
2. Like Paul is it your goal, your desire, your passion to know Him?
3. Are you aware of the fact that to walk intimately with Him is have your life transformed? Maybe this is the reason some choose not to know him.
4. Do you know you can praise Him but not really know him? The proof of this is that we praise sports figures, actors and others we have never met.
I pray it is your true, daily desire, not just know about Him, but TO REALLY KNOW HIM!
