God's Got Me on His Mind

Writer: Bishop Gregory M. FullerBishop Gregory M. Fuller

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of

peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV)

Have you ever said, or had someone say to you, “I’m not thinking about you”? If

so, you or the other person might have been joking at the time you said it, but

really that is a powerful statement. What that statement says is, in essence, “You

are not worth a thought in my mind right now.” What is even more powerful is

that, when some people say it, they really mean it.

I know you have friends and family, but the reality is some people really do not

think much of you or about you at all. Some people really do not care about you.

But that’s alright. Don’t sweat it. You see Jeremiah 29:11 assures us all that there

is one who has us constantly on His mind. God is thinking about you. Not only is

He thinking about you, He is thinking good thoughts about you. God is thinking

about your prosperity, your healing and your wholeness. God is thinking about and

concerned about what concerns you. He cares about what troubles you, disturbs

you and even vexes you. God has you on His mind.

So the next time you are tempted to think nobody ever thinks of you, or the next

time someone says, even in jest, “I’m not thinking about you”, you just declare,

“that’s ok, GOD’S GOT ME ON HIS MIND.”
