PONDER THIS!
These two verses of Scripture are, in my opinion, two of the most revelatory and liberating verses of scripture in the Bible. Revelatory in that it lets us know how we are saved, "by grace." This grace is the unmerited favor of God that is given to us through life, sacrifice, suffering, death and resurrection of our savior Jesus the Christ. It is liberating because it informs us that we don't have to work for our salvation. In fact, there is no amount of work that we can do that can, or has, earned our salvation.
1. Have you ever really thought about all that Jesus did that you might be saved?
2. Have you considered how liberating it is that you don’t have to “work” for God’s grace, you only have to accept it?
3. As I stated in yesterday’s Points To Ponder, have you taken time out to really thank and praise God for giving you what you can whole heartedly admit you don’t deserve and could not earn?
4. Have you just thought about the fact that you are simply saved BY GRACE!
